In my continuing adventures regarding booking hotels, the girlfriend and I have managed to find a place in Edinburgh for the Festival in August. It’s a touch more expensive than last year, but then we really lucked out in getting that place.
This year seems to have been a bit more difficult in getting a reservation, but we’ve now booked at the Airlie Guest House, which seems like it’ll be pleasant enough. We’re there for 3 nights over a weekend, I think, in the middle of August.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself last year, and am really looking forward to getting up there again. The whole city is just busy and buzzing, and there are so many acts to see that you never get bored. We got this year’s programme through the post the other day, so need to have a proper sit-down this weekend to figure out what’s worth seeing. Gotta have a plan!
