Rob, Rambling - A lot of things interest me...

I don’t even care if this is photoshopped. It made my day.

Because I’m sad and like to do this kind of thing, I’ve investigated the above photo.

I can tell from the double yellow lines on the road that it’s in Britain, and I figured that it was in a relatively big city because of the advertising hoarding outside the shop on the right, and the lottery stand on the far-right. If this were in a small town, I would expect the lottery stand especially to be inside the shop.

The poster on the shop says “Cass Price Promise”, and looking through the window I would say that it’s an art supplies shop. One quick google of “cass art supplies” showed me that this was a small chain of shops throughout London.

Hopping onto Google Maps with the same search gave me a couple of locations, and I could narrow it down by looking for a newsagent with a Newsweek banner on the shop’s right-hand side.

That eventually lead me to this location on StreetView. I can’t get any closer, as it seems there were some roadworks right in front of the shop when the Google car did its rounds.

But the StreetView is clear enough in that you can read the sign above the shop front: “Let’s Fill This Town With Artists”.

Now, if you look at the above photo, you can see that the H at the end of With is a little blurred, where the word Scientists has been inserted on top of the original photo.

So I’m afraid that the sign in its entirety isn’t real, but the vast majority of it is. I’m tempted to go grab a photo of the proper sign tomorrow.

Good God I’m sad. But thorough!!!
