Mall massacre in Omaha
What’s weird is that I’m currently reading Kingdom Come by J.G. Ballard, which takes as its starting point a random shooting in a British mall. It then becomes a story of disaffection with modern life and the rampant consumerism that accompanies it. There are outbreaks of lower-middle-class violence against minorities, with elements of unspoken racism throughout. Life mirroring art, mirroring life, etc?
