The London Twirls Project
In central London and have a hankering for a Twirl? Luckily, some obsessive type has started to map all of the locations where one can be purchased, including photos and descriptions of them all. Most importantly, they include the price, which has a surprisingly large amount of variation (95p at the British Library, about which the author is pretty much apoplectic). I’m genuinely impressed at the effort this person has put into the site, including mapping all of the photos. It’s a funny write-up too, and he even managed to get the word Twirl onto national radio via a co-conspirator. This is exactly why the Internet was invented.
