I stumbled across this magazine in hard copy form yesterday as I was perusing the magazine racks at lunchtime. It’s very much an arty, leftfield type of magazine, with the design and layout of the pages seemingly of as much importance as the content. Maybe a touch pretentious, but I can cope with that when talking about films. I read a couple of their brief reviews, and their style is, erm, unique. It’s almost as if the reviewers detest most films, other than the odd gem. I suppose it is fairly true that when you look at most stuff that gets into cinemas nowadays, there’s a lot of crap. I didn’t buy a copy, as I had no cash on me, and it looks like a new issue will be out next week. I’ll grab a copy then and see how it reads…
