As much as I’ve tried to wean myself off of Facebook, it’s this kind of thing that really makes me fall back in love with it.

As a way of providing backstory, our new mayor Boris Johnson’s first act in office was to ban alcohol on public transport, as of June 1st.

As such, this event has been created to protest / highlight the issue. Hopefully, it’ll be a civil affair, especially if everyone is in a ballgown/suit, and won’t turn into a re-enactment of the riots in Manchester earlier this week.

I am 100% definitely there, and it’s a Saturday too, which is handy. Now I just need to figure out what to drink.

EDIT: Dammit! Just remembered that I’m at a friend’s birthday that evening, out of London. Dammit!
