True story.
I expect a lot more emotion and feeling from those around me than I am willing to show myself.
Doesn’t everyone?
We all feel exposed when we wear our hearts on our sleeves, but we still find it annoying and disheartening when others don’t do so. We want to see how others are experiencing certain events, yet try to refrain from doing so on our own account.
It’s only when things become too much that we really let loose. We scream and shout when it goes wrong, or laugh and bare our teeth in huge smiles when it goes right. Exceedingly so.
Call it the human condition. Call it self-awareness and an inability/unwillingness to expose ourselves. It happens.
