Rob, Rambling - A lot of things interest me...

May horrible wanna be horror film.

But I gotta ask….Am I the only one that laughed when all the blind children fell on the broken glass? no? I’m a disgusting person? Hum. Good to know

I bought this DVD on a whim years ago, and of all the people that I’ve shown or lent it to, I’m the only one that likes it. It’s a real slow-burner of a film, trying to build the tension in an Exorcist-style fashion, but (if I’m brutally honest) failing to do so.

The violence is pretty unnecessary, and a little overdone in a gorenographic way. And it has the obligatory lesbian subplot which any female-driven horror film seems to find absolutely key. Admittedly, with it being Anna Faris as the lesbian in question it’s not all that bad.

The blind kids scene that malty mentions is pretty nasty, but there’s a scene towards the end of the film that I had to cover my eyes to watch. Without ruining it all, it’s to do with eyeballs, and I’m particularly squeamish about anything to do with eyes. Just a weird thing.

For me, it’s a decent film, worth killing a couple of hours with. But I can’t remember seeing the bird in anything else since, off the top of my head.
