It’s been a pleasant little Sunday afternoon. My parents were down, bringing me the rest of my Xmas presents that I couldn’t manage to bring myself on the train.
My mum in particular was dying to see the new flat, and I think she’s impressed. It’s getting to be ever more like home, day by day.
We then took a little wander into Wimbledon Village for a spot of lunch. The village is an odd place, really. Being so close to the Common, it has a real country feel, to the extent that you often see people on horseback riding through the middle of it. Being a country boy myself, I’m a fan, even if it can be a touch posh or pretentious sometimes.
We’ve got rid of the parents now, and are just having a relaxing evening on the sofa. Not a bad way to end the weekend…
