Justice - Stress
Apparently this video is banned in France because of its level of wanton violence and general malaise. Good word, malaise.
The song it accompanies is brilliant, and I’ve been listening to Justice this evening for a while. I’d forgotten that they had one of the best albums of 2007.
FC Kahuna - Growler
I discovered FC Kahuna when they were supporting a band called Dirty Vegas a few years back. I’d ostensibly gone to see the latter, but FC Kahuna just blew me away. It’s electronica/dance music, but has a bit of an edge to it too.
This track in particular has a combination of beat and melody that is best described as incessant. It builds and builds until you can’t ignore it, and then it just drives into you with aggression.
