
With Arsenal not playing yesterday, I went with a few mates to Fulham v Swindon, which had the handy coincidence of being the closest stadium to where I live, and the visitors being the team that was local to me when I was growing up.
We were in the away end, which was incredibly loud throughout. It was good to learn some new songs a bit different from the usual Arsenal ones, and the Swindon fans were in good heart despite a losing effort.
The Fulham stadium, Craven Cottage, is a nice little stadium with some character courtesy of the eponymous cottage in one of the corners, which serves as an executive box for the owners of the club and the players’ families. It’s not the same as the 60,000 seater Emirates though…
